Taku Tarot · Website
Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Chongqing Yishi Yihua Technology Co., Ltd ("Taku," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Taku Tarot website and contact us about it. It covers our free web readings, card meanings, and follow-up questions. The mobile app and any services offered within it are governed by their own notices.
The free website
The website is free to use. It does not offer paid memberships, subscriptions, reading passes, or checkout, and does not request payment card details. You do not need to register with an email address, phone number, or social media account to request a web reading.
Information we process
- Reading information: the questions and follow-up questions you submit, your selected spread, card positions, cards and their upright or reversed orientations, and the resulting readings. We use these to recommend a spread, generate an interpretation, maintain reading context, and answer follow-ups.
- Guest and session information: a randomly generated browser identifier and service session identifiers help the reading service recognize your guest session and connect requests to the relevant reading.
- Technical information: our website and service infrastructure receive connection information such as your IP address, browser request information, request times, and error or security logs to deliver the website, troubleshoot problems, and prevent abuse.
- Support information: if you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any screenshots or other details you choose to provide. We use them to respond and resolve your request.
The current website has no profile form for your birthday or gender and does not request access to your precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, or push notifications.
Browser storage
The website uses local storage to keep a random guest identifier on your browser. This identifier remains until you clear the website's stored data. It is sent to the Taku service when a guest session starts.
Session storage keeps your current questions, selected cards, reading results, follow-ups, and browsing preferences so that you can move between pages and reload during the same browser session. Browser session restoration may preserve this information. This is not a permanent or cross-device reading archive.
You can remove local copies through your browser's site-data settings. Blocking storage may prevent readings from working. Clearing browser data does not delete information already sent to our servers or service providers; contact us to request deletion of that information.
Questions and sensitive information
Questions can reveal personal, relationship-related, emotional, health-related, or other sensitive information. Submit only what is needed for your reading. Avoid names, contact details, financial credentials, or sensitive details about yourself or other people that are not necessary.
Submitted questions are processed by the Taku reading service and its AI providers, rather than remaining only in your browser. Automated checks may reject unsuitable questions or rephrase inputs for safety. Where applicable law requires consent for processing sensitive information, we will obtain that consent.
AI services and automated processing
Our AI-powered readings use Doubao, provided by Volcano Engine, and related cloud services. To generate interpretations, answer follow-ups, and perform content safety checks, these services may process your questions, selected cards, reading context, and follow-up content.
We do not use your personal information, tarot questions, follow-ups, or reading history to train our own or third-party AI models unless we separately notify you and obtain any consent required by law. De-identified or aggregated information that does not identify you may be used to evaluate quality, performance, and safety.
AI-generated readings may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are for entertainment and self-reflection, and are not medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional advice.
Purposes and legal bases
We process information to provide requested readings, maintain their context, operate and secure the website, prevent misuse, resolve technical issues, answer support requests, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Where EEA, UK, Swiss, or similar privacy laws apply, the relevant legal bases may include providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in reliable service operation, security and support, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it by contacting us; withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Sharing information
We share information as necessary with providers of AI processing, hosting, databases, security, email, and customer support. These providers process information to help deliver, maintain, and protect the service, subject to applicable restrictions.
We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law or a lawful request, protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable law. We may share information at your direction or with your consent.
We do not sell your personal information for money or share tarot questions or reading content for third-party targeted advertising.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website visits and navigation. Google receives page titles, page addresses, referral and campaign information, and browser and device information. Google Analytics may use cookies to distinguish visits. Our analytics code does not send your tarot questions, reading text, guest credentials, or individual reading identifiers. Personal reading pages are reported under a shared /reading/ address.
Google signals and advertising personalization signals are disabled in our website code. You can manage cookies in your browser or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. For information about Google's processing, see Google's Privacy Policy.
Retention and security
We keep server-side reading, technical, and support information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above. We consider whether it is needed to provide reading context, resolve an active support issue, investigate misuse or security incidents, comply with a legal requirement, or resolve a dispute. When no longer needed, information is deleted or de-identified where reasonably practicable.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no online transmission or storage system is completely secure. Avoid using a shared browser for private questions, and clear its site data when appropriate.
International processing
Taku and its service providers may process information in countries or regions different from where you live, with different privacy laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as contractual protections or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms. Contact us to ask about the safeguards applicable to your information.
Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of personal information, restrict processing, withdraw consent, limit certain uses of sensitive information, or appeal a decision about a privacy request. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests where applicable law provides this right. Rights to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising may also apply in your jurisdiction.
To make a request, email sunlijun518@gmail.com. This website uses guest sessions rather than registered accounts; describe the request and the approximate date of the reading so we can help identify the relevant records. We may request information reasonably needed to verify the request. Do not send passwords or payment details. We respond within the period required by applicable law. Removing reading data may prevent continuation of that reading.
Children's privacy
The website is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you are 16 or older but local law requires parental or guardian consent, use the website only with that consent. If we learn that a child has provided personal information in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Parents or guardians can contact sunlijun518@gmail.com.
External links
Links to Instagram, TikTok, app stores, and other external destinations take you to services governed by their own privacy policies. The social icons are links, not embedded social feeds. Contact links open your email application; information you send is also processed by your email provider.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy as the website changes. We will update the effective date and give notice of material changes as required by law. A policy update does not replace consent where consent is required.
For privacy questions or requests, contact Chongqing Yishi Yihua Technology Co., Ltd at sunlijun518@gmail.com.
